    This slaughterhouse 3,000 is ridiculously stupid. Somehow I beat the first stage of this without having to kill the two bosses. Even though the door was open for me to turn in the mission I decided to kill the bosses anyway for loot. Unfortunately I had no idea you can't get the loot as it drops it away from the platform that you can't get to. So you just get to stare at legendary weapons that you can't pick up. Thats sooooo dumb, I guess there's no reason to play this mode anymore.

    • @cusman
      @cusman 3 дня назад

      Those boss legendaries that get dropped can be collected via Lost Loot. No way to collect them right after killing the bosses. It would have been better if there was a way to pick-up in-game normally, but the mode was excellent fun and great for replay value (for us anyway).

    Grenade launcher benefitted greatly from perspective change, as did sentries. Rocket is a workhorse after buff. 3:53 was very disappointing. 7:40 that barrage would have been useful a lot earlier

      The Bushwhacker seems to have very fast damage drop off at longer ranges. It is most impressive really up-close-and-personal (17:46, 18:31, 18:38). At least it has great stagger no matter the range which allows you to reload and shoot again as needed.

    Great start. I see why i dont love the LibCar...it is a two handed knight missing much of the punch! 10:40 was a great idea but turret traverse speed was too fast.

      10:35 The Shredder tank turret does turn too fast (unlike the Annihilator tank), but this experience had me realize that Machine Gun Sentry is able to kill tanks if you get one behind them and use yourself to get them in position. I tried used this again near the end (19:55). I think you are right about the Liberator Carbine except it might have better ammo economy, better range (?) and lower recoil (at least with dual analog controls).

      D-Day Enhanced is best if you can get into 20 vs 20 or higher team battles. Pavlov is better for smaller scale and the game modes that are better suited for lower player counts. It is also much higher technical polish with the many years of PCVR development leading up to it being available for other platforms.

    Surprised you didn't get more killstreaks with it. It is an interesting alternative to gas strike now. Seems like it hits a bigger area, may be better vs big guys, but less concentrated damage versus gas strike. I used both on a solo Helldive eradication a few days back and it was hard to tell which was doing more.

    • @cusman
      @cusman 7 дней назад

      My friends that use it a lot more than I have have also mentioned how it doesn't seem to give accurate killstreak numbers, but at least it is working to smash the enemies of Super Earth well. It has very short cool down and can kill all Terminids including Chargers and Bile Titans if they are already weakened, but no guarantee. Just depends on where the shots land as it barrages.

  • @T4nkcommander
    @T4nkcommander 10 дней назад

    Rocket Sentry got a massive buff - which it needed. It now has the second highest range of all sentries at 100m (mortars have 125m, Tesla has 30m, and the rest have 75m). It now is a good split between Gatling and AC sentry, being able to deal with small and big enemies reasonably well while having a lot of ammo. It won't destroy bigs nearly as well as AC nor smalls like the Gatling, but it has great uptime and range and can help a lot thinning stuff out and finishing/weakening the big guys. 15:20 was pretty cinematic watching the laser sweep thru the base.

      @cusman 15 дней назад

      3rd person co-op shooter with friendly-fire always on and emphasis on strategy with lots of loadout options. It is designed for endless play, has many different planets that will have similarities but also stand out from one another on which you will land on procedurally generated maps on a range of 9 different difficulty options and complete missions of various types to further a Galactic War against the enemies of Super Earth. During missions you have required objectives, secondary objectives and enemy "bases" that you can take out before extracting and there are time limits depending on mission type. The Galactic War is something you participate as part of all other players (PS5 & PC) working towards common Major Order goal, but you are not required to succeed to continue. But whether you succeed or fail will influence how the broader meta story continues and can impact what kind of weapons become available as well as how the enemies might evolve. I played 1000+ hours of the original game over the years which was top-down much lower budget same concept. I have 200+ hours already on this sequel that released earlier this year with much higher budget (production values). Both games are among my favorite games ever.

    Railgun one shots hulks - something only rockets/quasars can do - but apparently only does 60 durable damage vs 150 on the AMR (unsafe mode increases this up to 120). So the AMR can take out gunships but not the Railgun. It makes sense to some degree but also puts the railgun in a weird spot. Should probably get more durable damage to bring it to parity with buffed AMR.

    • @cusman
      @cusman 17 дней назад

      I can take out Gunships with ease using Anti-Material Rifle, but not the Railgun because it takes time to aim, charge and release and it isn’t hit-scan like the AMR so I miss more of the shots I do attempt. But one of the people I played with in this mission was able to take out ~5 Gunships with his Railgun, so now I know it is possible. Just not as simple as the AMR.

    • @cusman
      @cusman 17 дней назад

      The game was rated 2/5 stars by me on the PlayStation Store at launch and that has been updated to 4/5 stars after this third major patch since launch of game 4-5 months ago. The most notable things fixed for me over the course of all patches is the hit detection / feedback when you are shooting enemies, improved haptic feedback & resistive triggers, the framerate stability and the substantial improvement to how the game looks in headset. The game has also fixed all known trophy bugs and is less likely to crash. They also restored the original games more crass / offensive (?) dialog as a choice over the censored alternative dialog the game originally launched with. It doesn’t change the tone / attitude of the game, and I didn’t have problem in this area of how it shipped, but I also don’t find anything too crass / offensive in the now uncensored option.

      Well spotted on that timestamp. I don't think it helps in the front like it used to in original Helldivers for Bugs, but I haven't really put it to that test either and it will always be better not to get that close to them. Probably helps with friendly fire more then Terminids like taking little to no damage from a close enough explosion (22:14) even though I am not wearing 50% explosive damage resistance armor.

      How can Poker be rigged when you are playing against other players? How is it pay for play when the game gives you free Chips every day (every 8 hours actually) and odds are if you are decent player, your bank of Chips will just accumulate over time. The leaderboard shows players have accumulated millions over the time they have been playing. As for Blackjack, it feels authentic to me where it is the same strategies I would use in real Casino for when to Hit, Stand, etc and the more players that are playing the less advantage the House has (more likely to bust). With the 4 players in my group that are playing, none have needed to spend any $ to buy Chips. Couple of us have spent $ on Creds, but those are used on cosmetics / props for social multiplayer fun, not on any of the Casino games which only use Chips.

    this is the most annoying part in vr games, climbing like that, that's why half life alyx had better option. Because if grab is not registered (because you can't feel anything like in rl) eventually you slip and it's so annoying.

    • @cusman
      @cusman 21 день назад

      I haven't played Half-Life: Alyx, but the best climbing I've done in VR is between The Climb games on Meta Quest and Horizon Call of the Mountain on PSVR2. The climbing in Legendary Tales is not bad, but it isn't the best I've experienced either. None of those other games allow up to 4P co-op and climbing is a very small part and all climbing challenges an optional part of Legendary Tales, so it is important to keep that in mind for any comparison between Legendary Tales and another single-player climbing focused game. How did Half-Life: Alyx handle climbing?

I think any limited climbing that is part of Legendary Tales is still 95% optional because there are alternative routes you can take and the secret challenge rooms that can have climbing you don't have to do.

    You can find how game looked & played at launch and my original first impressions write-up here: ruclips.net/video/_KpuG6qBw3g/видео.html Based on my additional time with it after version 1.3 update, I now feel comfortable recommending Bulletstorm VR for PSVR2. It is no where near close to perfect, but my main dissatisfaction have all been addressed. It is a sci-fi first person shooter game featuring a single player story campaign with many cutscenes (especially earlier in game). The game is a port of the 2011 original to VR and not a remake, so the pre-rendered cutscenes are presented in theater mode, but the game does provide the option of watching these in stereoscopic 3D which gives them depth. Although it is a port of an PS3 or maybe PS4 version of original game to VR, it isn't a complete retelling of the original chapter-to-chapter. Some content was cut and other content was added including couple of chapters where you play as trash talking Trishka Novak instead of the original protagonist. Her gameplay is same as the main protagonist except that she has OP beam swords that can be extended in either hand and used to slice up any enemies that get too close. The game doesn't have Platinum for some odd reason, but it has 6-8 hours of content for campaign completion and more if you go for 100% trophies since there are two higher difficulty than Easy to complete on, plus pulling off 100% of Skillshots possible in the game as the rarest trophy and many situational miss-able trophies that you can use chapter select for. That 100% skillshot trophy was bugged at launch but has been achieve-able for a few months now following some early patches. The gameplay is arcade style action shooter where soon into the campaign you get an electric whip for your left-hand while using your shooting weapon in your right-hand, but you can also dual wield weapons once you have more than 1. The electric whip can be aimed using either your head or hand controlled through options. Neither option works as well as Synapse did for telekinesis using eye tracking but it works well enough for what the game needs where you have to accept it doesn't have as much range as you can see. The weapons allow different styles of reload (button, immersive, or hybrid) and each have an alternative firing mode which the tutorial heavy intro of the game didn't cover (use top button of controller holding weapon to activate if you have charges available). There is also a skillpoint based progression system to upgrade your weapons or electric whip which opens up early into the campaign as part of the story progression. The game encourages you to perform fancier takedowns of enemies by using your kicks, slide, electric whip, and environment by awarding you more points, which in turn allow faster upgrades. Getting to max upgrades is quick and easy so beyond that you mainly spend your points to add charges for weapon special attacks. The AI is simple with types that rush you or take cover positions, but I don't consider it too easy because if you play dumb, you get dead and have to replay an engagement until you can get to next checkpoint. I think the updated game has been made more forgiving on Easy with how much damage you can take before you are dead and have to replay from last checkpoint. Hopefully that means Normal / Hard are tweaked to be more challenging as well. Whenever you are taking damage, your screen starts to fill up with red blood splatters and you need to find / take cover to allow health regeneration to take place. Alternatively, if there is a device (called dropkit) in the area that lets you get into the upgrade menu, using your electric whip to touch that (including during combat), you get healed. The game starts you out quickly asking a few preference questions to get game going, but actually has much deeper customization options. You can control how hold vs toggle works for weapons vs items and for how your off hand grips guns vs main hand. You can enable tunneling with sliding scales for different types of activities but I was happy with the default of recommended. Pretty extensive set of options for VR comfort and preferences. The game isn't making use of the PSVR2 headset haptics, but it is using the resistive triggers and a variable scale of controller haptics are being used as well. I've felt it most when activating and using alternative firing mode or when magazine empties or using Trishka beam swords. The game at launch looked much worse in headset than video-capture (which also didn't look good) and there was a shimmering vibration for all menu systems that made text harder to read. Same for subtitles that displayed below the stereoscopic 3D cutscenes. The game was also missing adequate hit detection when enemies were being shot with weapons. All of these issues are addressed in the updated game. The game looks better in-headset now than the video-capture which is also improved. There is no shimmering vibration on menus and all text is crisp and clear and easy to read. The cutscenes are still pre-rendered but their size and quality has been improved (the over saturated washed out look is gone) but this is still lowest resolution part of game. The hit detection is much improved with blood splatter and other animations no longer feel missing. While all guns / kicks related gameplay has been improved to look / feel right (audio / visual feedback wise) the implementation of Trishka beam swords is unpolished. They work, but there is a delay or sometimes they don't render at all even though you are pressing the grip trigger buttons to extend those blades. They do activate reliably (providing haptic feedback) and can be used to slice up enemies that are close enough but they don't render visually consistently. The slicing also seems to effect enemies with some kind of input lag, so you might slice and think you missed but a few milliseconds later they get sliced. I think one of the highlights of the game is the use of set piece moments to break up the standard FPS gameplay which was a norm for action games that I feel is missing in more modern games. The game has memorable set pieces like an on-rails section on train with a giant thing (reminded me of final boss in Gazzlers) trying to run you over. There is a cave with giant eggs blocking your way and clearing them angers something that starts a timer and you have to beat the clock to stay ahead of an implied monster as environment is shaking and rocks are falling. I think the game has a good variety of these types of set piece moments that don't overstay their welcome and keep things fresh and interesting before returning to the standard combat. I should mention that I did experience one hard crash in what I played after 90+ minutes session and it wasn't during anything special (just sprinting towards next area). When I restarted game, I was able to get past there without recurrence so I think game may have possibility to get less stable if you play longer session (memory leak type issue?). This won't be a game for everyone because it has a crass sense of humor & indulges in creative violence (some of this can be turned down in options), and has game design from an older era of action video games, but for me it is fun gameplay and now with the Gaze (Eye-Tracked) Foveated Rendering patch, it looks probably closer to the PCVR version of the game than Quest 2 stand-alone VR and I think the overall game experience on PSVR2 is much improved because of that.

    I was convinced the trees were a time/ammo waster but they seem to have reduced the Shrieker number quite a lot. I am glad you posted this because I really wanted to run the Tesla Tower + Arc armor combo. I did try it, but that was before the spawns were changed and so it wasn't viable. The spawns change made this mission kinda easy which is a shame because I really liked the frantic challenge of the original mission. But Tesla would Arc to enemies and then destroy drill, so that was a bummer.

    Based on my limited time with it, I do not recommend playing Crazy Kung Fu on the PSVR2. It is a Kung Fu martial arts inspired fitness game where you punch, block and dodge using full body movement (including squats) in room-scale (minimally 2m x 2m) and your two hands. It provides multiple environments to choose from that are quick to unlock when you play the Train mode and it also has a variety of Braces and Masks available to unlock to customize your Avatar for use in competitive Multiplayer mode which does feature cross-play with other VR platforms. Nearly all of your gameplay is against wooden polls with randomized rotating components. Your goal is to punch or block with good accuracy (timing & force) and dodge (squat or step back) all blades. You are shown your accuracy during play and more stats about your performance at the end of each level. You can play all levels on Apprentice or Expert. The game features ~70 levels across multiple game modes. * Train (4:20) is the core gameplay from Tutorial (0:51) where difficulty will go up as you progress to higher tier levels or enable the Expert toggle. * Fight (12:00) is a variation where the wooden pillar will move as if sparring with you. This mode requires room-scale of 2x2 meters, 3x3 meters or up to 4x4 meters. * Workout (14:35) lets you select Skill, Style and Flow options to customize parameters and then play for purpose of Workout. * Wing Chun (18:42) lets you just practice against a virtual Wing Chun Dummy where you need to score enough to unlock next level. * Event (21:20) provides generated routines after you have completed at least 3 Train and Fight levels. * Multiplayer (21:37) allows you to have first to 3 wins matches against other players where you can filter / create rooms for 1-3 Arms that are either Standard or Double. The multiplayer mode when I would try playing with my wife on PSVR2 from same home network would work fine (whether I host or she hosts), but would crash consistently at the end of any Round. When I played with other randoms (not PSVR2 players) available in public matchmaking lobbies, the game did not crash. I could join and play on their hosted room or create my own room until one of the randoms joins and it would work fine. There is no in-game voice chat for cross-play multiplayer but it provides you a menu board of canned messages you can send to other player like GG, Nice! etc. While playing multiplayer, it is the same game as Train, except you have random attacks you can send to other player. Playing multiplayer clears your calorie tracker for the day. Graphics of the game are clear but not crisp which I take to mean lower-resolution. It is also using reprojection because if you move you can see ghosting of any of the text that is displayed. This is disappointing for a game with such a simple art style. It should be running native 120 and higher resolution on the PSVR2. Soundtrack and sound effects are one area that I think game is nailing. An improvement would be to have the configurable Shifu (18:30) be voiced so you don't have to look to see what feedback your Shifu (Master / Trainer) is giving for your gameplay. Haptics is an area of missed opportunities. The game is using haptics but the most I felt was playing Wing Chun when your arms are touching the Dummy sticks (?) and it is just an on/off rumble rather than giving the kind of finer haptic feedback that I know the PS VR2 Sense controllers are capable of giving. There is also no haptic feedback in headset when you take damage (failed to dodge blade or got hit by arrow in multiplayer). Punches & Blocks have haptics but aren't conveying good vs weak hits like the audio/visual feedback is conveying. Although the virtual menu of the game is intuitive and easy to use, none of the interactions are providing that tactile haptic feedback. The game does feature a Platinum trophy, but I expect that will stay at 0% or be one of the rarest for anyone that does manage it because it has ridiculous trophy expectations like 100 day streak. It also has calorie burn related trophies (up to 500 calories in 1 day) which is fine for a fitness game, but not if it loses track between play sessions for same day or resets to zero for the day if you play any multiplayer. Many of the other trophies are expecting high-skill / dedication. The game came out very recently and has very few players so some of it makes sense, but as of now it has over 30 trophies not including Platinum sitting at 0%. There are no VR comfort options, but this game doesn't need it since all movement is room-scale. We both like the idea of the game as we both look for and appreciate games that provide a fun aerobic workout, but this is not a good port to the PSVR2. It isn't making use of stronger hardware to provide higher resolution (not a big deal to us), higher 90-120 framerates so there isn't any unnecessary reprojection (made my wife feel dizzy) or better haptics. It also crashes consistently when we try to play multiplayer together. I may feel differently about the game overall if they can patch the multiplayer from crashing for us and get rid of the unnecessary reprojection, but as it is now, I don't recommend it.

      I think the Liberator Concussive is significantly better vs Terminids (over Automatons), while the Liberator Penetrator is slightly better vs Automatons (than Terminids). The Liberator Concussive not having good range (scope) makes it less useful vs Automatons for controller players in a way that PC players with K&M and playing closer to monitor screen may not feel. The Diligence Counter Sniper is better medium penetration weapon for both factions and the Pummeler is better stagger weapon for both factions because they both seem to have bigger hit boxes and higher DPS potential.

    Big Cus! A like and a comment as a pittance for my questions: (1) do you have a master list of all the games that can be played coop psvr1 to psvr2? My “use case” is a game like beat saber where I’d have a friend play on my alt account on ps4 pro/psvr1 and I play from ps5/psvr2 (as if I’ll not have the better headset) (2) I updated my ps4 pro this week finally and all sorts of games were crashing and failing to launch properly like swordsman and others - everything is updated - does this sound like it’s maybe been so long I’ve updated my ps4 pro that I need to delete save games because they might be incompatible with these recent versions/causing crashes? Thanks!

      I think there is very limited games that will run crossplay between PSVR1 and PSVR2. It is much more likely that they have crossplay with Steam or Meta Quest than the PSVR1 version of game. I don't know of a good resource I could refer you to for this. Maybe After the Fall or Alvo or Crisis Brigade 2 or Cave Digger 2? It won't be a long list. Save files should be fine in more cases than not, but if you want to test, you can backup your save file (USB or Cloud) and then delete to see if the game works properly with freshly created save file.

    Based on my time with it, I do not recommend playing Sugar Mess - Let's Play Jolly Battle on the PSVR2 despite liking some parts of overall game. It is a collection of arcade games presented in the format of an adventure game where you move the Sugar Prince figurine on a diorama map to select each story level as you progress. Each of these starts with a story using paper cutout art style that look hand drawn / painted and then the level that you play can be an arena shooter (3:45 & 33:09), on-rails track shooter (10:47), solve single puzzle which allows skip (17:00), complete rhythm game song without failing (27:40) or boss battle which involve teleporting (20:10). The game is very short having just two of each type of level that it features. The game also has an arcade (by going to Store) you can visit after completing first level that lets you play one simulated arcade game (7:36) using giant control stick and giant buttons. You can jump or shoot, but the scoring is only from picking up candy pieces and you have to avoid getting touched by the sugar enemies. The Store is also where you can shop for and buy / equip 2 other weapons available (31:50). The game allows you to use any weapon you have unlocked for any of the levels that feature shooting (arena, track or boss). The starting weapon is like a pistol where each projectile shot requires separate trigger pull and can be tiring to use. The next weapon I unlocked allows holding fire to keep firing projectiles, but you do have to hold it with both hands to keep the recoil / aim in control. I haven't unlocked the third weapon which would require some replaying of levels to have enough credits to unlock. The weapons I tried feel different, but clearly the unlocked weapon is better / easier. Whichever weapon you use has potential to level up based on your scoring from Level 1 up to Level 3 so there is some incentive to try and upgrade all weapons by using them enough. The game doesn't have Platinum where 3 of the trophies you will get if you complete game, a few you will get if you replay enough to unlock & upgrade all weapons, and couple that will likely prove frustrating. Specifically 25 points in Arcade mini-game or S rank all levels including the rhythm game levels because unlike rest of game the controls aren't good for those two. The arcade mini-game you can completely ignore, but you will need to pass the 2 rhythm games that just feel off in the detection / feedback to be able to complete game. Lastly, there are hidden gears to shoot in some levels for one of the trophies as well. The game is made for "all ages" but definitely skews to younger player appeal / expectation with its art style / tone / aesthetics. The game isn't crisp so probably not very high-res, but it is clear with no signs of reprojection. The soundtrack and sound effects are also fine except the rhythm game levels where I feel some audio feedback is missing for when you are hitting notes as part of gameplay. The game is using haptic feedback in the controllers but it is not utilizing headset haptics nor resistive triggers of the PSVR2. I doubt any are needed for most players, but there are no VR comfort options offered. The only levels with any motion are the on-rail track levels. The best part of the game are the two boss levels. They actually exceed expectations going through rest of game leading up to them. The shooting levels are fine and I think in each case (arena vs track) the 2nd iteration is better than the first, but I can think of better games for arena or track shooting than this. The highlight for this game are the boss battles. If they had more of these, I would have leaned towards recommending. The puzzles levels are very simple and can be skipped. The worst part of the game are the two rhythm levels because there is something not quite right about the controls or feedback playing through those and this is from someone that has played a lot of rhythm games in VR. I know these should feel a lot better to play than they are feeling in this game. These are the main reason I lean against recommending this game. I don't like to knock a game for length (especially if there is replay value) if quality of experience is good, but it is worth mentioning here that total content if you don't get stuck on anything is < 1 hour. There is replay value for some of the levels where you can use different weapons or try to find all the hidden gears or get S ranks, but it is a very short game.

    Based on my time with it, it is easy to recommend playing Sushi Ben on the PSVR2, provided you are open to a visual novel game that is fully voiced with quality Japanese voice actors and no English audio dubbing available. It is a VR narrative adventure game where you visit a small seaside town and take on the task of saving a local sushi restaurant from closure while also helping ward off real-estate land grab from the antagonists in the story. Although the focus of the game is the story where you do get to make some dialog choices and can get a game-over (16:54) and then have to repeat from last checkpoint, it also features a variety of mini-games including fishing, table tennis, ghost hunting, stone carving, bug catching, dog walking, archery and more. Each of these mini-games are short-lived experiences to further the story, so none are built to the depth of stand-alone games and the game even has option to skip all of these and be a story-only-experience. Each mini-game I've played so far has been a good short break from the dialog with decent controls and immersion, so I don't see why anybody would skip these. You certainly shouldn't get this game if you intend to skip through the story sections to get to the mini-games because they are not the star of the game. The game is using an anime-inspired art style and the character interactions utilize dynamic 3D manga panels that are expressive and entertaining. The game has simple graphics, but looks crisp and clear and running on very high stable framerate with no sign of any reprojection. I love the soothing soulful atmospheric soundtrack and the story characters are voiced by a cast of seasoned Japanese voice actors (Chiaki Takahashi, Show Hayami, Hideyuki Tanaka, Mamiko Noto, Jouji Nakata) that bring the expressive animations to life with their fantastic voice acting. The game is using subtle and varied haptics for all varieties of interactions but there will be some cases where it will feel missing or too weak. Overall, it is a good implementation that complements the immersion of the interactivity. The tutorial of the game has you customize where and how the dialog text will be displayed. It lets you choose the relative position the dialog panels will be displayed, the depth of the panel, and size of the panel (which increases / decreases size of fonts as well). It is important that you get this right for you at this time as it is unclear to me how this can be changed later. Most instructions are given via visual communication panels and while some things may take you a bit to understand, I think it is all intuitive. The key thing is to position the dialog box position and size right for you, understand how your watch tells you where to go next, and how to use the inventory system once that opens up which is also where you will store the map (once you have it). VR comfort options the game lets you customize includes providing both both snap (default) and smooth turns including turn speed. It also lets you use teleport only or mixed (default) including setting speed of smooth locomotion. The game has a Platinum trophy and it looks like anybody that plays through and completes the game will end up with the Platinum. This is a game most interested in being entertaining with its story and characters and it succeed in that for me because I think it had me smiling the whole time as well as laughing on occasion. Somebody else may be put off by the same, but for me it has an endearing quality, and it is a game I look forward to playing to completion.

      What I've learned is that some of the items you spend Creds on in-game store are consumable, so if someone gifts you something that you throw away, that is "consumed" and their Creds wasted. On other hand, the consumables are the cheaper items available in-game store and while you can't throw away (trash / waste) persistent items you might receive into your stash as gift, they also cost more Creds. The game gives you plenty of Chips for free (daily spin, etc) to use for the various games, but you have to play 7+ days to start getting free Creds to use, or get some Creds from PS+ every now and then.

Basically a Stalwart primary with virtually unlimited ammo and better scope / range and accuracy as a Primary. The only downside it has is the slow wind up before it starts firing, and I think that is sufficient because it is not better than other weapons I tend to use more, but also a good weapon when I do use it. Some of the other weapons are unbalanced with their weaknesses. This one may be considered unbalanced due to its strengths, but it certainly isn't the best or "meta" as the people that don't adapt to use wider range of weapon options like to state.

      I haven’t used it extensively, but I think it makes the slow shorter and maybe the canceling activates against more recent spits / splash to make it feel like you are immune? Maybe I had a Stim effect plus the Motivational Shocks together making temporarily immune to slow? It has been most helpful with how being near Bile Titan splash normally slows you until you dive and then are slow to get back up and going without the Motivational Shocks booster. I think recovery from any rag dolling caused by explosions near you is also faster, so not just useful vs Terminids.

    Recently bile titans have gotten a lot harder - seems their head hitbox shrunk. Anyway, used to you could down them with 2 missiles to the head, which made the mech really strong against bugs. Now you might spend all your rockets on just one or two titans, so it is a lot more suited for trash and charger clearing. The Emanciator hopefully will be good for Bile Titans and other heavies if it has the same firepower as the turret.

    Based on my limited time with it, I do recommend playing Vegas Infinite on the PSVR2, but only if you understand how F2P (Free To Play / Start) games monetize and this is a gambling game where you could be using real-currency (via "micro" transactions) to buy in-game currency and then gambling that away which could potentially cost you a lot if you are susceptible to being a gambling addict. To the games credit, it provides options for player to apply self-exclusion for 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month or 3 months (8:12). It also provides free in-game currency if you will just revisit the game each day for free-spin and also gives fixed amount that goes up as you complete up to 7-day streaks (1:30) which includes some of the premium currency as well. Aside that, you could also be winning more than losing and the leaderboards / player rank seem tied to how well you play. It is a virtual social casino experience centered around playing Poker with up to 8 other players. I specifically want to with friends & family, but it seems due to size of my friend list, I was not able to find the friends that are online (7:20) to be able to invite them to my Suite and then party up in-game before Creating a Table. Even after I tried the Refresh button (7:54), I couldn't find the friends I was in Party Chat with. Fortunately, my wife (xplicitrock) has smaller friend list so she could easily find me in her Social screen to be able to send Invite, so she was able to host (11:25) so we could start playing together. One option we didn't try is for me to Host a table and then have the other players find and join the game using Games list (43:16). It looks like here you can also switch between Cash, Sit & Go and Spin & Go lobbies. There is also a Filters button that probably provides further options. I didn't notice while playing, but in watching the gameplay recording, I have now realized that the Host screen also lets you tab to change between Cash, Sit & Go and Casino Floor. The Host screen also allows you to set a numerical Password for your Create Table (4:00) so only friends would be able to join. I think one of the barriers to start enjoying the game is figuring out all the options buried within the user interface which puts everything in floating menu on top of your off-hand. You can access this by touching your watch with your dominant hand or pressing the options button on your right controller. Beyond that you have to recognize that you can touch various icons / buttons with the finger of your other hand and this includes going to "Next / Back" or clicking the Gear icon that is near top right (8:55) to access additional menus, and for some screens like Games (43:16) or Store (43:23) or Avatar (9:03), the option to click on arrows near bottom left to move between pages of content. The game supports room scale turning / movement and a form of teleport using your thumbsticks while provides very limited options to tweak for your preference (4:12). You can change from Teleport to Dash which changes the teleport from a blink to destination to a slide / animation towards destination and from two-handed to one-handed which limits which controller can be used to activate and control teleport beacon. It took me a while to figure out that you can control your final orientation at destination after teleport by using the thumbsticks to point the spade in the direction before you let go of trigger button to teleport (42:27). So with that figured out, this could be played seated or standing. Although we jumped right into multiplayer and then didn't know how to play and slowly figured out most of the mechanics, the game does provide a tutorial prompt the first time you try playing Poker Hold'Em at the Holo Table (37:05). This tutorial doesn't take long and does a very good job of explaining all of the mechanics you should be aware of so when you do play with others, you have those basics down. Beyond selecting your Avatar preset within Settings, located in your Suite, the game provides a Dressing Room (32:40) that allows you to accessorize your Avatar using included, won or bought cosmetic options. If you enter the Dressing Room for the first time, it will trigger a voice to give you a scripted introduction to how this room works. Just follow along the scripted instructions (click on stuff that has purple light lines) until you have free control again or you can get stuck and have to reboot the game to get out of it (happened to one of us). It is here that you may realize the game is using eye-tracking to animate your avatar. It also moves your mouth when you speak if you are not in Party Chat for other players to see. The game is also making full use of the capacitive touch buttons / triggers on the VR2 Sense controllers for variety of possible hand-gestures. So I think in future once we have joined each other using Party Chat (to coordinate), we will drop out of Party Chat so we can interact with other players as well as see mouth animations in game as we speak to each other. Where I think the game shines as a social multiplayer game is with how good it looks within headset and how well the other players are animated and how expressive their faces are with use of eye-tracking and lip sync and the hand gestures (26:30). In addition to this, you have access to props like a camera that can take pictures or selfies (27:10) and there are many other items available in the shop to purchase that can be brought to the table and be part of the silliness including guns (28:02). The camera here actually works really well here unlike the implementation in the ForeVR Bowl / Pool games on PSVR2 saving very good quality pictures to the PS5 Media storage. I think the game is using controller haptics in all the places where it is useful to give virtual game a tactile feel and the sound effects / soundtrack are fitting. The game doesn't have any Platinum, and the few trophies it has are all for doing something once, so no grind. They just want you to try different game modes once and win 1 hand or game in each of the three available at time of trophy list. I think the only reason the % completion of trophies related to Sit N Go and Spin & Go games is that the UI is so busy / congested that most people that have played this free game probably never realized these are available or how to play something other than Poker or Slots (34:09) since neither Smart TV nor Holo Table provide easier option to start those other game modes. My biggest complaint is that Invite / Join requires use of an in-game Social menu that isn't optimally sorted nor has enough pages for someone like me with too many PSN friends to let me find the players I want to Invite for this game. It should allow me to Invite / Join using PlayStation UI where I can easily send Invite to Party members or search / use my friend list to send Invite. A second would be the way movement teleport controls are the only option with no smooth locomotion / turning in the Suite or play areas which I would prefer. The third is the wrist menu UI which is so busy / congested that it takes time to figure out and use. Overall these few issues are worth getting over for me because I really like the expressiveness of the Avatar interactions and while I would prefer this quality of implementation more in social sports game like Walkabout Mini Golf, Tennis On-Court, or ForeVR Bowl / Pool to name a few, it is in this Poker game where I am finding the best implementation of it to date. I expect that we will have more fun with this game next time we play than our first ~60 minute session with it because we would spend less time figuring out many of the details covered in this write up and more on the Poker card game and I think especially VR social multiplayer buffoonery that will be the real draw for us with this game.
